Unitek was started in the year 1982 as a proprietary concern manufacturing emergency lights and burglar alarms, the company made its presence felt in the electronics field very quickly. The company started manufacturing UPS under the brand name UNITEK & ALLTEK, and became one of the leading UPS manufacturers in South India with sales and service network at different locations and more than 10,000 ONLINE UPS installations. Unitek is one among a few companies in South India to have a complete manufacturing set-up such as Fabrication, Painting shop, PCB manufacturing, Magnetic division etc. under one roof. In 2007 Unitek was converted to public limited with the name Unitek Power Solutions India Ltd.

All products are designed and developed by Unitek's Research and Development team, and they constantly innovate and upgrade product quality and utility. Unitek has a good marketing team implementing aggressive and innovative strategies to achieve sales targets and gives great importance to customer care. The wide service network in different locations with mobile connectivity enables to cater to the needs of the customers as and when required. Their service engineers are well-qualified, trained, equipped and competent to satisfy every customer.

Tie-up with BORRI Industrial Power Solutions based in Italy, having a strong position world-wide for its industrial and standard UPS for last 75 years, is an added advantage for Unitek nationally.

BORRI is very strong in oil and gas plants, marine applications, aviation Industries and large industries for its specialized customized UPS.It has adopted latest technologies in higher KVA UPS which many competitors are yet to innovate. Along with BORRI, Unitek will have its presence felt all over the country. Mr. John Zachariah, heads the company. Before taking over as Managing Director, he was in charge of Chennai region. He had the opportunity to get trained under the R&D and production department of Best Power, USA. & BORRI - ITALY. His vast experience & exposure in the field of power industry is the driving force behind our recognition nationally.
